Directions to Glenbroch

FROM MELBOURNE

  • Take the Calder Freeway out of Melbourne (to Bendigo);
  • After approximately 50 minutes turn left at the 2nd exit to Woodend then turn immediately right over the Freeway (this is the Hanging Rock/Romsey road);
  • In approximately 500 metres turn right into Boundary Road;
  • Continue on Boundary Road, over Mount Macedon Road (slight dog leg) – bitumen then gravel;
  • At ‘T’ intersection turn right (Kinsellas Lane) and continue until the first road on the left (Reid Road);
  • Drive straight up Reid Road to the top and turn right;
  • The road will take you over a cattle grid and into “Glenbroch” where there is a kilometre drive up the hill to the house.

FROM WOODEND (VIA BROOKE STREET)

  • Proceed down Brooke Street towards Mount Macedon;
  • Drive over the Freeway then turn immediately right into Boundary Road (bitumen then gravel);
  • At ‘T’ intersection turn right (Kinsellas Lane) and continue until the first road on the left (Reid Road);
  • Drive straight up Reid Road to the top and turn right;
  • The road will take you straight into “Glenbroch” over a cattlegrid where there is a kilometre drive up the hill to the house.

FROM ROMSEY

  • Take Woodend Road from Romsey heading West;
  • Travel 18 klm;
  • Turn left into Boundary Road 300m before entry onto Calder Freeway;
  • Continue on Boundary Road, over Mount Macedon Road (slight dog leg) – bitumen then gravel;
  • At ‘T’ intersection turn right (Kinsellas Lane) and continue until the first road on the left (Reid Road);
  • Drive straight up Reid Road to the top and turn right;
  • The road will take you straight into “Glenbroch” where there is a kilometre drive up the hill to the house.

FROM KYNETON

  • Take Calder Freeway to Melbourne;
  • Turn left at 2nd Woodend exit onto the Hanging Rock/Romsey Road;
  • Approximately 300 metres turn right into Boundary Road;
  • Continue on Boundary Road, over Mount Macedon Road (slight dog leg) – bitumen then gravel;
  • At ‘T’ intersection turn right (Kinsellas Lane) and continue until the first road on the left (Reid Road);
  • Drive straight up Reid Road to the top and turn right;
  • The road will take you straight into “Glenbroch” where there is a kilometre drive up the hill to the house.

FROM MOUNT MACEDON

  • Take Douglas Road off Mount Macedon Road (Douglas Road becomes Bawden Road which is gravel);
  • Continue on Bawden Road and go past Mount Macedon Winery;
  • Just before going under the Freeway, turn right into Kinsellas Lane;
  • Approximately 300 metres turn right into Reid Road;
  • Drive straight up Reid Road to the top and turn right;
  • The road will take you straight into “Glenbroch” where there is a kilometre drive up the hill to the house.
